My name is Brian Fried and I am an inventor just like you.... I have my own portfolio of inventions that I am continuously working on, I host a radio show called Got Invention Radio, (www.gotinvention.com), I am regularly on QVC as an on air guest with my products, I am the president of the Suffolk County Inventors & Entrepreneurs Club, speak at schools, libraries and government small business agencies... and I love to help inventors from the start... From my experiences and contacts, I know where to go and how to get things done, and that is an advantage I can pass to you so you dont have to waste time and money. Lets put your idea into action today!
You can chat with me one on one when I am online, watch my videos and read my messages on inventor tips that are updated regularly...

Find a local inventors group in your area! This is a great way for you to network with other inventors and resources to help you.Â
Ask Questions, ask questions, hear others experiences with people and companies that they have worked with and ask more questions...
Here are some websites to find an inventors group in your area:
Inventors Digest (under resources) www.inventorsdigest.com
United Inventors Association www.uiausa.org
United Patent and Trademark Office www.uspto.gov
and I know there are more, but start with these to find one.. and if you don't see one available in your area, listen to the interview under past shows on Got Invention Radio. The interview with Terry Whipple will tell you how to start your own club!

Message 2- A simple tip |

I find that inventors are not sure which step to take in the invention process... there is not a right or wrong way, but think about this senario... You, the inventor, have this great idea... you go and have someone do some drawings for you and make a prototype, then you file a provisional patent so you have a patent pending... what is missing? How about doing a simple patent search and get an opinion from a patent attorney or agent before you spend money and time on a product that may not be able to be fully protected-- especially if you plan on licensing your idea, becuase that is what a licensee ususally looks for before making a committment, are they really getting an idea that will be their right to market it and not infringe on someone elses idea......

Write down your ideas, send yourself a text message, call yourself and leave yourself a message... capture your idea immediately before you get distracted!
It might just be the best idea!!!! Have a great day.
